Due to the amount of webspace our pictures and pedigrees take up on our site of our moms and dads, we have decided to do a presentation slideshow of them for you to view. We are very proud of our Poodles and want to be able to show photos of them for your enjoyment.
We are going to take this opportunity to address an issue that is very important to us. Just because we do have a kennel arrangement doesn't mean that we don't love and care for all our Poodles. All of them are bathed and groomed on a regular basis, their kennels and puppy yards are cleaned daily. Our inside moms and babies all receive fresh bedding daily as well as getting to run in one of our fenced yards several times a day. Also they are kept up to date on their vaccines, heartworm prevention, wormings as well as Rabies. Our breeding males are all DNA'd according to AKC standards. The adults are all either microchipped or tattooed for ID purposes as well.
Just because someone has an outside kennel does not make them a bad breeder!!! Many breeders have a kennel situation so that they are able to separate their females and males for breeding purposes. Any dog(s) will have a tendency to fight or "pick" on each other especially when one is in heat. We do have a kennel BUT we only have one male to each group of 2 or 3 girls. We choose which one of our males that we want to breed with a particular group of girls that we think will produce the best puppies in color, temperament, conformation and size. This ensures us that only that male can breed his group of females and there are no "accidental" breedings. Also we would like to point out is that if a breeder has more than one male with a group of females, how can you be certain who the parents are when they are born and you choose your pet? For anyone to say that they do not believe in crates or kennels, and they allow all of them inside their home with no separation, they are only asking for trouble in the breeding world...dogs will be dogs! They will breed and there is no way to stop them. You can't expect anything but that. They don't just overlook a female in heat or stop when you tell them to quit. They can be sneaky and will find a way....So think about these issues when you are looking for your next pet.
Lastly, we would like to thank everyone that has written to us about our poodles and requested that we place our adults back on our site. We sincerely appreciate your kind words of support and comments regarding your visits to our site, however, if anyone doesn't agree with our views, please feel free to look at other breeders for your next pet. |
